• Hold em Pot Probabilities – What They are and How to Employ Them to Earn Big Cash

    [ English ]

Recently, I got a question from one of my students. It stated, "What exactly is pot probabilities and is Hold’em pot odds method worth pursuing?"

One factor to remember, any type of Hold em probabilities can and usually do get incredibly confusing. On the other hand, let me break pot odds down in extremely easy terms. Please note that we are only discussing Pot Odds. Not outs, implied probabilities, easy odds or something else like that.

In short, pot probabilities are the probabilities you get when determining the ratio of the amount of money in the pot to the quantity of money it’ll cost you to call the bet.

For example, let’s say you are heads up with Player A. If there is $150 in the pot following the flop and Player A places a $20 wager it will price you only thirteen per-cent of the pot to stay in the hand. If your likelihood of succeeding is greater than 13 percent it is a no-brainer to call because you’d have beneficial pot odds.

That’s all there is to it definitely. Hold’em pot probabilities boils down to one thing. If your chance of succeeding is greater than the ratio of the pot size to the wager then you could have excellent pot odds. If it’s lower than you could have bad pot probabilities.

One far more thought about Hold’em pot odds. You’re still betting the player much more so than something else. Wager on the player additional than your starting hands or the size of the chip stack and even, yes the pot odds.

If you’ll be able to understand to read your opponents well you’ll be able to utilize pot odds to support justify or solidify your conclusion. But Texas hold em pot odds don’t have to be an end all whenever you make a poker choice.

Knowing and understanding how Texas hold em pot odds work could be a useful and successful technique. Except again don’t produce Texas hold em pot probabilities your only strategy.
