• Caribbean Poker Rules and Hints

Online poker has become world celebrated lately, with televised championships and celebrity poker game shows. Its popularity, though, stretches back in fact a bit farther than its TV scores. Over the years many variations on the earliest poker game have been created, including a handful of games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these particular games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely related to chemin de fer than old guard poker, in that the gamblers bet against the casino rather than each other. The winning hands, are the established poker hands. There is little concealment or different types of concealment. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to ante up before the dealer declares "No more wagers." At that point, both you and the casino and of course every one of the different gamblers acquire 5 cards each. After you have seen your hand and the bank’s first card, you have to either make a call bet or give up. The call bet’s value is on same level to your beginning wager, which means that the stakes will have doubled. Giving Up means that your wager goes instantly to the casino. After the bet comes the face off. If the bank does not have ace/king or greater, your bet is returned, including an amount in accordance with the ante. If the bank does have ace/king or better, you succeed if your hand is greater than the dealer’s hand. The casino pays out money equal to your original bet and fixed expectations on your call bet. These expectations are:

    • Even for a pair or high card
    • two to one for 2 pairs
    • three to one for three of a kind
    • four to one for a straight
    • five to one for a flush
    • seven to one for a full house
    • 20-1 for a four of a kind
    • 50-1 for a straight flush
    • 100-1 for a royal flush
