Double-hand Poker is a modern game with old origins. Built on the ancient Chinese tile game and the current American version of poker, Pai Gow poker bands together the eastern with the wild west in an excellent game for starting gamblers.
Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the gambler against the croupier, unlike most other poker games that players wager against other players. By betting against the dealer, starting players don’t have to be concerned about any other, more experienced people winning their $$$$.
An additional Pai Gow edge is the generally leisurely game pace, rookies should be able to take their time and scheme while not having to make hasty selections.
It is also simpler to play for a very long time with just a tiny amount of cash since, to not win, each of your hands has to be lower than each of the houses hands.
Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the customary 52-card common deck and one joker. The player is given 7 cards face up and the croupier is given 7 cards faces hidden.
A 5 card hand and one 2 card hand have to be made from the 7 cards dealt, the five card hand must be better than the 2 card hand. To succeed, a player needs both of his hand values to be higher than the houses.
